"Today was club tournament day out on Lake Samish. After a somewhat tough morning with only smaller fish, I headed to a different area of the lake and on my first cast up to a really good dock with a swim dock, logs, and pads, I nailed this postspawn 9.05 toad. At first I thought she was maybe a 6 or 7, but she was double wide! I imagine porked out before the spawn we weighed closer to 10. Anyways, I lost another one that was about 6-7, and had a few other followers. I had a total winning weight of 16.56 pounds (this club has a 3 fish limit). Biggest tournament fish I've ever caught, and the biggest fish I've caught out of that lake. So stoked right now. Best 3 weeks of fishing I've ever had."
