Godzilla sighting in PNW
Big congrats to Roger Davis on his tournament win over the weekend and another giant northern gorilla! "Today was club tournament day out on Lake Samish. After a somewhat tough morning with only smaller fish, I headed to a different area of the lake and on my first cast up to a really good dock with a swim dock, logs, and pads, I nailed this postspawn 9.05 toad. At first I thought she was maybe a 6 or 7, but she was double wide! I imagine porked out before the spawn we weighed closer to 10. Anyways, I lost another...
Godzilla steps foot in the PNW!
Big fish hunter Roger Davis found this northern gorilla working a long flat slow rolling with intermittent pauses. Congrats on your first outing bud and thanks for the pic!
Oregon Northern Gorilla on 10" Hiro
Gorilla hunter Jacob Bean caught this beautiful 11lb 4oz giant in southern Oregon. "The females in Lake X were suspended under main lake docks to ambush trout. Its all about timing on this lake and the fish seemed to be on a glide bite because they would mimic the movement of the bait when they followed. You would get followers if you casted shallow and pulled the bait back out deep. Trout eaters are always looking out towards the main lake so to get one of the true giants to bite you had to position the boat shallow and cast way...
